NEW SCHOOL YEAR!

The Battalion, along with the rest of the school, now begins a new year with new cadets and new staff. C/LTC Horacio Beltran has replaced Cleveand graduate C/LTC John KIm as Battalion Commander, C/MAJ Diana Coreas has replaced Cleveland graduate C/LTC Juan Garrido as Executive Officer, and C/CSM Selenia Melendez has claimed the year long vacant Sergeant Major position. As for the Staff members, LET 3 C/MSG Ericka Ochoa has taken up the S-1 position with Let 3 C/MAJ Emilio Garcia as the new S-3 and Let 3 C/2LT Michael Datu as the new S-4 while LET 4 C/1LT Rafael Orozco remains as S-5.

VFW ( Veterans of Foreign Wars)

Once every so often the VFW requires assistance in their formal dinner. And so our cadets volunteer to serve as waiters, insuring that things run smoothly and efficiently.

Christmas Toy Drive @ Napa Elementary

Every year selected members of the Cavalier Battalion visit the less fortunate elementary kids to give them gifts. The cadets wear a Santa hat to celebrate the event, usually two weeks before Christmas. Cadets go with the First Sergeant to buy the gifts and spend the next few days wrapping them up so they can be delivered by the cadets participating in the event.
